The Cinderella Project

Rebound is a caring partner in the successful development of youth.

About the program

The 2022 Cinderella Project is now complete. Thank you to all of the amazing young people who came out to shop for dresses, as well as the caring volunteers who made the day possible.

We look forward to 2023 and making even more dreams come true!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Cinderella project?

The Cinderella Project at Rebound collects new and almost-new formal dresses, shoes and accessories, and provide them free of charge to area school students who are unable to purchase their own prom or graduation attire.

We distribute the dresses and accessories during our scheduled Boutique Day. Each youth receives individual assistance from a volunteer personal shopper as they look through our inventory.

Our ultimate goal is to have a positive influence on youth by helping them to look and feel beautiful celebrating their accomplishments alongside their peers on these momentous occasions.

I need a dress! How do I get one?

The Cinderella Project will host a Boutique day  for all youth in need to visit and shop for the dress of their dreams. Registration will be available for the event, however a limited number of drop-in appointments will be available as well. Watch our social media for upcoming registration availability.

How can I donate a dress or accessories?
Rebound will be hosting a “Dress Drive” in 2022/2023. Stay tuned for more details and dates.

If I don’t have a dress to donate, how do I help or get involved?

You can volunteer!

To volunteer for the Cinderella Project contact Sarnia-Lambton Rebound’s volunteer coordinator by emailing volunteer@reboundonline.com or calling 519-344-2841.

You can create a dress drive of your own!

Ask your friends and family or co-workers if they have dresses, shoes or accessories that could be donated, and collect those for an easy drop-off at one of our dress drive locations.
