Transitions II Classroom

Rebound is a caring partner in the successful development of youth.

About the program

Provides a specialized learning environment for youth who are disengaged from the traditional school setting. Referrals are accepted through the Children's Aid Society & Sarnia Youth Probation.

A classroom therapist and teacher work collaboratively to engage youth, providing a therapeutic learning environment, while delivering education in a holistic manner. Additional community supports allow youth to achieve highschool credits that are not limited to regular classroom instructions.

 

The Classroom Program Provides: Small class sizes, the ability for students to work at their own pace and learning styles, additional therapeutic supports that extend outside of the classroom, and curriculum matching with an alternative learning approach.

 

Therapeutic Supports Include: Expressive Arts, Health and Wellness, Cultural Studies, Hot Lunch & Snacks.

 

Classroom Therapist Supports Include: Life Skills, Coping Skills, Substance Abuse Education, Healthy Relationship Education, Employment Skills, Emotion Regulation.

 

Community Partners Include :Sarnia-Lambton Children’s Aid Society, Lambton Kent District School Board, St.Clair Catholic District School Board, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and Youth Justice Services Division.
