Housing Support Worker

12 month contract, Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Sarnia Lambton Rebound is a non-profit agency committed to youth between the ages of 8 and 24. We promote changed attitudes and behaviours helping young people develop skills that promote a positive response to self, family and community. The Housing Support Worker will work with qualifying youth ages 16 to 24 and other service providers to aid in securing and maintaining safe, affordable housing in the community.

The Housing Support Worker will:

 Locate and secure housing

 Assist in meeting basic needs

 Case management and skill building

 Coordinate services and supports

 Assist to maintain housing tenure

 Advocate for youth needs

 Believe in the potential of all youth

 Work collaboratively with community agencies

 Support a healthy and vibrant work environment


 College Diploma in a Social Services field; Child & Youth Care preferred

 3+ years’ experience working with youth ages 16 to 24

 Passion, commitment and dedication to youth

 Knowledge and experience with Youth Engagement

 Independent and team work skills and abilities

 Life Skills training and experience

 Excellent time management, written and verbal skills, superior documentation and data entry skills

 Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

 Knowledge of community resources

 Must provide own transportation and have valid Class G License

 Must be a member of your professional association
